Beyond The Pale: Exploring the Dark(er) Side of Rosé Wines

Join us for an exciting and educational wine tasting event, Beyond The Pale, as we delve into the fascinating world of rosé wines. Rosé is a wine style that can often just be lumped in as "Rosé All Day", but we believe that there's much more to it than the trendy pale pink style from Provence. 

In this event, we will introduce you to a diverse range of rosé wines from around the world, made from different grape varieties and produced using various winemaking techniques. You'll have the chance to taste and compare different styles, from the pale and delicate to the bold and complex, and discover the unique flavors and characteristics of each one.

Contrary to popular belief, the color of a rosé wine does not always indicate its sweetness level. Rosé wines can range from bone-dry to very sweet, and the color can vary from pale pink to deep ruby depending on the grape variety and winemaking method. We'll explore the different factors that affect the style and flavor of rosé wines, and help you understand how to identify and appreciate the different styles.

We  will guide you through the tasting, sharing our knowledge and passion for (darker!) rosé wines. You'll learn about the history and culture of the regions where the wines are produced, as well as the different grape varieties and winemaking techniques used to create them. 

The event will be held in the beautiful & charming garden of Simple Shape studio, weather permitting, and promises to be a fun and relaxed experience. You'll have the chance to meet other wine lovers, share your thoughts and opinions, and learn from each other.
